I saw this on Craigslist and decided to buy it on impulse, having no clue of it's worth. What this is is a Saturn Devkit called the "Saturn CartDev Rev. B" (as seen on the massive box that is attached beneath it). I have no idea what the hell this thing does, but I've never seen anything like it for sale before, and figured it might be worth the investment. Anybody have another Saturn devkit and know what I can do with this thing? Anybody know what something like this is worth? I just can't find too much info on it.

The seller was asking $140, but I talked him down to $120.

Any devkit is worth it for $120

These things only appreciate value

How do you go about finding yardsales? Do you just drive around in the suburbs?

No, I am a collector, and my mother and girlfriend are both antiquers and they both check all the classifieds within 20 miles, and craigslist on Thursday and we make a map and a game plan.

Wow, that's a serious operation. There can't be THAT many yard sales in Utah, can there be?

I bought this cheap on ebay and it arrived today, I bought it solely because I love the Speed racer series (well everything that includes the wii game, the Movie and the original show)

But holy shit this is bad, The tracks are designed in a nonsensical way, Here's a jump but immediately after you jump a corner pops up and you have no time to turn before you smash into obstacles or other racers. oh and the racers will hit you and eventually knock you out of the race, you can easily lose 4 hit points of 12 in seconds. The platforming is kick an enemy 3 times they get ko'd, the platforming ranges from boring to enemies juggling you in the air.

you can play as racer X but it's the same exact game, just this game is a mess.

Oh and the racing is mode 7, remember how Smooth F-zero was? this game runs almost as choppy as F-22 interceptor on the genesis during mode 7 races, and this game came out 4 YEARS AFTER F-zero. it was a shoddy cash in and should be avoided at all costs

>Walk into local used game store
>Woman has just divorced her game collector husband and trades in DOZENS of consoles (unfortunately not many games)
>The store literally gives her every dollar in the register as trade in
>They openly tell us that they are now in the red and willing to sell us some of what she traded in at 25-50% off if we spend enough
>I get a nes toploader for $65 and all the nes games for $35
>I ask for Truxton as a throw in and he says okay because he's never heard of it/ doesn't feel like looking up what it's worth
>my friend gets complete mint in box genesis games for nothing (toe jam and earl for $12 for example)

It was a damn fine day

Nice. Same thing happened to me once, but they wouldn't discount anything, so I just bought this MMX

>> No.634480

Still a great find (especially if it was a while ago as in before the huge MMX price hike). You're the guy with the bead art arthur and fire brand right? I like you're style

Thanks. Super GnG is my favorite SNES game. It was shortly before the hike. I paid I think $50ish for the in box MMX
