My collection is really just one game. More or less complete now, have all versions of the game and some nice flavour pieces. There is a branded zippo lighter I'd love on ebay, but it's too expensive. There are also trading cards I could get.

>> No.632197

>>631193
Not able to take any pictures of my collection currently, though I've been planning to catalog, reorganize and photograph it all so I should be getting to that soon. That said.

>What was your most recent addition
Secret of Mana, Super Mario RPG, Earthworm Jim 2, Castlevania IV, Starcraft 64, Vectorman 1 and 2, and a jungle green N64 and controller to match. Oh, I picked up Timesplitters 2 as well, but that's hardly /vr/.

>What is your favorite item
My complete, boxed copy of Super Mario Bros 3. Completely and totally unimpressive and hardly rare, but it made me happy to find it that day. I still love that game and its simplistic box art.

>How do you like to display/store your collection
Most of it's in drawers currently. I have one shelf filled with the last 3 generations of Nintendo console games but everything more retro is stored mostly neatly in drawers. I lack the room to properly display it all sadly.

>Where did you get most of your items from
Currently I get a lot of stuff from a local buy sell trade store called The Exchange. Every game I listed above I got from there. The vast majority of my collection was amassed by me simply playing games as I grew up. Almost every N64 game I own is something I got new as a kid, for instance.

Here's what I own, minus a few GB and a fuckton of Atari 2600 games. Most are in fairly good condition with a few exceptions.

>What was your most recent addition
Golf, Tetris 2, Supervision 52.
>What is your favorite item
Majora's Mask
>How do you like to display/store your collection
I don't. Most of my cartridges are stored in two separate cases while some sit on a bookshelf. I plan on buying a better unit when I have more space.
>Where did you get most of your items from
eBay and my local pawn shop.

>> No.632935

>>632627
My local pawn shop is run by a game collector. Their selection is great, because he sells his doubles there, but their prices are exactly to the penny what Price Charting says each month.

I don't know what to think about that.

>> No.632979

My most recent addition is Tetris 2 for Game Boy.

My favouite item is Megaman X4 for Saturn. It's my favourite because it's not only one of my favourite games of all time but also it's the first game I ever bought with my own money. The postcard in the back of the manual has my name and address on it because I wanted to send Capcom my opinion, but my mom wouldn't give me the 50 cents for a stamp to "send my personal information away".

I keep most of my collection in boxes so they'll be protected from light.

I get most of my items from anywhere. Retail stores, online, garage sales, retro stores, friends and family, whatever.

I really feel for you. I know a guy who had the SNES 100% and had to sell it all because he lost his house. He had a wife and kid, and couldn't afford to pay for groceries.

It is a sad thing. I lost my collection out of greed, or because I was poor. Cant decide which. I sold all my old games as soon as I finished them, because I was hooked on gaming, but had no income. I could have the NES finished by now if not for that.

>> No.633189

NES, 15 games including Bonk's Adventure
Genesis revision 2, 4 games.
Sega Saturn, 9 games including Shining Wisdom and PDS
PS1, 15 games including Tron Bonne and Lunar
Original PS2, 30 games all of which were titles people actually want to play
GCN, 20 games
DS, 30 games, same as above
GB, 7 games with Pokemon Blue and Yellow
GBC, 3 games (oracle of Seasons/Ages and Bomberman)
GBA, 9 games, including Boktai: The Sun is in your Hand
Wii, 10 games, nothing particularly notable although I had that shitty Tales of Symphonia 2 games
PS3, 6 games. I sold MvC3 special edition the very day before UMvC3 was announced, so I got $50 for it. I still feel bad for that guy but no returns.
PSP-2000, modded with God of War it came with

Everything was complete, even the systems, all the boxes were in fantastic condition. All of the games were among the best games you could get for the system; everything was something people would want to pay good money for. My room was so empty after it was done. So was my soul.

I like it but it's definitely not an easy game. It was made for arcade. It's really fun to play even though I've never beaten it. You should watch some gameplay videos.

Oh and keep in mind the NA version is somewhat butchered in that it loses the ending, you don't get character portraits, and other differences. It doesn't make it any less playable to me but you may want to check that out too.

5 bucks isn't bad in my opinion but as for actual worth I don't know. It's probably the coolest side scrolling mech game I've played if that counts for anything. Sliding in to punch something to pieces is really fun.

Living in university halls at the moment, so I couldn't take much because of space, etc. But these are the games I've brought with me/bought while I've been up here. All those Mega Drive games have cases, I just left them at home to save on space.
All that's not pictured is the majority of my PS1 games, my Dreamcast stuff (though that's lacking anyway), and (obviously) my Gamecube stuff.

>What was your most recent addition?
Spider-Man for the PS1, not here yet though. What I have is... SM64 and Lylat Wars, off eBay.
>What is your favorite item?
At home, my Japanese 10th Anniversary copy of Sonic Adventure 2, it's pretty cool. Here it's Sonic 3, my favourite mega drive game.
>How do you like to display/store your collection>
I keep my consoles on one of those rectangular things with the square blocks from Ikea. I really need to get a good shelf for my games though.
>Where did you get most of your items from?
most from eBay, I only bid when they're below the usual market price though - it's rare I'll buy something for full price. Otherwise, charity shops, and occasionally a retro game shop in my hometown which is pretty sweet. Need a car to get to some car boot/garage sales.

Nope. It's not sealed either, I slit the top open so I could access the game.

That's not the kill-a-ton collection... although I do remember that. I also remember the East meets West combo-pack featuring Duke and Lo Wang. Looong ago, I had Duke Caribbean and Duke DC, but fuck if I know what happened to them.

So the game on top is the base game, and the one underneath is called the "plutonium pak", which was the first boxed release that upgraded your game to the "Atomic Edition" (later on they'd re-release both products under the "Atomic Edition" title)

I have more pics of specific collections and I can take more if anyone wants to see any of the crispy boxes or their goodies inserted like nintendo power posters and manuals and whatnot.
