I heard that some youtube celebrity didn't like it much, so I hate it too.

Had potential if not for the controllers. Atari should've just skipped it desu and released the 7800 in 84. Or not, it's not like the 2600 wasn't massively popular.

The giant trackball they released was quality. I also enjoyed playing space invaders and jungle hunt on the machine. Controllers are indeed shit.

Atari was full of mismanagement. They always had the technology that could beat any japanese companies back in the day but the businessmen on top just didn't care about video games and had no passion for it.

5200 was a powerful console, 7800 was more rugged than the NES, Jaguar was more powerful than the PS1 and only needed a bit more development in the GPU department, Lynx was a better deal than the gameboy in many ways. Nintendo offered good exclusive games though, something Atari had never cared about. They should've hired more game developers.

Didn't say it could look as good since it had no processor dedicated to graphic processing, but it could handle the complexity of a NES gameplay. Maybe it wouldn't run SMB3 but Zelda, they could easily make a game similar to it and with more complexity thanks to the bigger RAM capacity.

neat but the games are the same rigamarole you'll receive from a basic 2600 collection
not much of an improvement enough to warrant picking it up when you could just get a 2600 and Bombs Away and be set for a night
