is it remotely possible to ever find environments to make games like these anymore?
there's something so soul-sucking about being stuck on a modern computer in the modern office life compared to the brief period developing stuff during those times.
hell, im a zoomer. and some of those guys are around me and my friends ages but they looked like they had a bigger zest for their craft compared to creators today.

I blame globalization and the general homogenization of society for this. Every kid nowadays is taught that their life doesn't really start until they're 18 so no one aside from a few outliers actually go out and learn new things and make stuff. They put it off till they're in college to "find themselves" when in reality they should've been doing that stuff since they were born.
I've been learning how to program and stuff for like 5 or so years (currently 18) and I'm just now getting to the point where the only stumbling block is dedicating the time to making something. I can't imagine what it would be like if I waited till college to start learning this stuff.
I don't know. I have a lot of scrambled thoughts about this topic that I need more time to organize.
