That the colors are as perfectly executed as in the original, that killing zombies is satisfying and that Nemesis is an unstoppable machine. I also hope that the online game is fun
>fears
That it's REmake2 but with a dodge button. I liked the game but it was too easy and too annoying - especially with the bullet sponge zombies. Call me a retard, but even when I 'speedrun' RE games, I still like to kill shit, not just run from point A to point B. Also, the bosses were too easy and that video showcase made it seem like Ol' Nemmy takes too long to do shit when he actually grabs you. I want to have my heart racing when I see him, I want him to hit me with a rocket when I think I'm safe but I'm afraid all of that will be just a dream.

It's a real remake. They call remasters remakes for marketing purposes.
And remakes are not allowed on /vr/. Only remasters are, because remasters are entirely or mostly the same game, whereas remakes are entirely new games based on previous games.

REmake 1 is incredible and REmake 2, despite not having fixed angles, turned out way better than expected. I'm fucking excited for REmake 3 despite the angles. Ah yes, the core gameplay in classic RE was not being able to see shit.

It wasn't about ammo conservation, which is in Remake 2.

It wasn't about choosing which zombie to kill or to dodge and weave between them, which is in Remake 2.

It wasn't about the story of corporate subterfuge at the expensive of the populace, which was in Remake 2.

It was about the camera angles, which was mainly a limitation of the time, as evidence in CV where fixed camera angles swiveled allowed you to view zombies in plain sight most of the time, oh wait.

RE3 was lukewarm even back in the day, everyone had already played RE1&2 and it didn't offer anything new, it just took away features like multiple characters and Nemesis was just a rehashed version of mr X. Never in a million years would I guessed that they would remake this out of all games. But that just gives hope that more niche games will be remade which is nice.

You don't like variety? There's nothing wrong with ots shooters but that's almost all we get today.
>Okay? This is bad because?
Because not everyone should be able to beat every game they play. Between this and the other aforementioned "features," the developers are practically corralling the player to the end. May as well just watch a movie on a related note, why the forced walking sim sections?
>See above. Oh no, my immersion?
Yeah, see above. It's as if the game fucking plays itself. No more exploring and mapping out your environment. Less emphasis on decision making. More streamlined AAA bullshit.
>RE0 showed you were things were and SH gave "waypoints", hardly modern inventions
It's been a while since I've played either of those, however just because a couple games do something wrong, that shouldn't excuse what's supposed to be a remake of a game to add it in when the original definitely did not have it
>Gonna have to elaborate on this one
Original RE2 gave you 8 slots to start with, and you have a choice to extend that to 10 midway through should you find and decide to take the side pack. If you do take it, you can't on your second run due to the zapping system which, along with loads of other content, was cut in the demake
>more nitpicky bullshit
How is expecting to have to look for things and explore in a survival horror game nitpicky?
>Ammo conservation was NEVER an issue in RE unless you're an absolute retard
This is definitely true for 2, and probably one of its biggest flaws was not having a Hard Mode on its original release to remedy this and other things. However I could argue that you should be playing it on its hardest difficulty unfortunately only found in later ports , otherwise I can further lambast DEmake 2 for only requiring ink ribbons on hardcore and having auto-saves in the lesser difficulties.

>> No.6244126

>>6243908
The funniest thing is the original RE2 is a billion times easier than RE2make was in every way (survival horror elements, puzzle solving, mechanics). These neckbeards are simply retarded.

Also I can't help but think these morons that think fixed perspective tank controls are an element of skill are projecting their own low IQ on everybody else. It's also a fact that 99% of /vr/ is utterly trash at video games anyway.

>Yeah because telling you exactly what to do and where to go is challenging
But he's right, that was never the challenge. That's a puzzle, and once solved, offers zero resistance on any future playthrough in an extremely short game built on replayability. Gameplay is what matters, and remake2 requires far more from the player than the original. I was A ranking 2 a few months after release when I was 10 and had a couple of runs under my belt to learn where everything was. I was fucking bad at vidya too, being unable to beat any of the platformers I owned.

I'm far, far better at vidya now, and remake 2 on standard is about as hard as 4 on professional. It's great.
