The sound track really is fire tho
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWYt-P7yJ1k

For me, colony wars 1 & 2 are GOAT PS1, they had the classic flight game advantage of not actually having to render all that much at any one time, letting them get some very nice models and effects on screen, they're cheap to pick up and have good stories with decent replayability

Colin McCrea rally is also fantastic

Yeah the 3rd level would be the first cockblock for most people since it has a time limit.
I encourage you to try again, and have this in mind: you can move the Fuchikoma faster by holding both L1 and R1 and up or down for going forward and backwards. Without using this, level 3 is more or less impossible.
The rest of the levels are pretty fun and there's a variety of missions. It's also not a long game, since it's more like an arcade experience.

By not getting attached to savefiles. I had a multipage card that spontaneously formatted itself before my eyes while I was managing its contents and have not given a shit since. Games I enjoy, I start over, and games I do not enjoy, I do not touch.

Jade Cocoon. I still don't knoe how they managed to create all those monster combinations on PSX, tho.

Oh man, it was one my first games on PSX.
It's short as hell, tho.

Devil Dice is so good. The sequel on the PS2 was passable but there's really something special about the original. Addictive gameplay too.

From you-know-who's recent video I learnt that Devil Dice was actually a Net Yaroze game of all things. Sony picked it up and published it as a real game.

A fun 2D platformer with stellar sprites.I used to rent this game all the time from my local video store, I rented it when the PS2 had been out for a year and they said I was the only person who ever rented it and they sold it to me for a dollar, I miss independent video stores.

G POLICE WEAPONS OF JUSTICE
There was a similar game previewed for ps2 in a gameinformer buy it got cancelled
I just wish we could get another sci fi space colony game with a similar dark cyberpunk atmosphere, multiple vehicles, and a long storyline. In G police you start out in a dome on Callisto doing routine patrols in a hovercopter checking cargo for contraband and by the end youre participating in massive space battles in the asteroid belt. Loved the mech and the car too

Vengeance is the best in the Colony Wars franchise. Shame we can't have a modern iteration.
