most of us seeks cabs for displaying games and not changing them every time we want to play but with the absurd quantity that a mame pc can hold and the practicity of changing a game with just 1 button this problem became meaningless.

I really don't get your point dude, unless you are operating this doesn't have sense at all.

Also most of gun games are 3d hardware based and the emulation of those suck dick. I tested zn1 emulators and compared to the real hardware and the results where lackluster, same with model 2, model 3 and naomi.

Candy cabs are pretty generic to start with anyway. As long as he's putting out 15KHz RGB and using arcade controls and accurate sound through the cabinet's amps it's fine.

If anything, they're ruined Blast City cabs.
You should see the brackets Sega put on these things. Very shoddy looking.

37" 4 player podium
this is for party gaming simpsons/tmnt/gauntlet

the blast city is clearly for 2 player fighting/beat em ups and more

yes, i am aware emulation isn't perfect
i am also running taito type x and other such things on the machine
it displays in 640x480 VGA mode from the pc currently but i was working on a way to allow output switching
the cabinet is not hacked or chopped in any way
i can put bass fishing back in the machine without any issues
the keyboard encoder is wired to AMP connectors i purchased separately so i wouldn't have to cut wires

At least mine do ,fighting games feel a lot different when emulated.

For example, type X emulation have input lag, or zn1 emulation have frame problems.

Also getting the right pcb is important, some fuck up input time or do not support multiple key pressing.

And sound emulation most of the times is shitty as fuck, try comparing emulated stereo sound from a cps3 and the pcb.

Shumps/shooters are another bitch to get right, groovy mame or shump mame does not solve all your problems.

Mame machines are only ok if you don't know any better or you are poor, witch is contradictory as arcade machines are somewhat expensive and most of the games are around a modern console game price (if you avoid ebay, of course).

Hoarding and been jelly of a blast? You are talking shit and you don't know anything about the arcade scene. Prices tend to be fair, aside some titles and most of the SHUMPS titles of some famous studios.

There are few hoarders and those are pretty much known in the community, most of us hate them as they have inflated many titles sniping them from Japanese auction sites.

Then after they snipe you , they put it at their store at triple price, sometimes even more.

This is a serious problems as japanise stores react to this rising the prices up , which at the same time rises the prices in the auction making some titles reach absurd prices.

If is selfbuilt ,I dont give a fuck .Its your creation , put didoes on it if it pleases you.

>a mame console made out a totally unrepairable game..

While you have the body cabinet itself in good shape is reparable as you can get parts for most of games, there are few systems that cant be repaired as the bubble system but you can get mask roms ports of most of their games.

I am specialize on candy cabinets as I don't like woodies as much, but in order to restore a machine you got look if it worth the effort.

For example, its more worthwhile restoring a pac man machine rather than a dinamo with a bootleg sf2.While one have historic and monetary value the other is common and shit and its not even dedicated.

By the way ,dynamo cabinets are good mame project boxes , those are common, spacious , not dedicated and usually cheap.

As you said some machines cant be saved but that implies that the body of the cabinet is trash(heavy water damage, etc etc), so why the effort of restoring it?
