hm... 3d gameplay huh? the GOAT in /vr/ terms? thats kinda hard. also depends on what genre you wanna look into. my favorite 3d /vr/ game is ehrgeiz for its incredible dungeon crawler. armored core 1 is an amazing game but some of the missions are semi-horseshit and the end game mission is absurd, but the game itself is quite a technical achievement from gameplay and programming perspective.

soul edge is pretty badass.

if were talking graphics theres also alot of places to touch base on, like what if a game has ugly terrible player/character models but the backgrounds are gorgeous? Is this also mixing in the context of having played the game so you know its atmosphere with music and sound and gameplay given? Aesthetically, I think ape escape for ps1 had a very... creative touch to the way the game flowed. It certainly didnt have the highest quality graphics, but to me they appeal to my eye in a way that i would subjectively say it had some of the best. but thats just the thing with art. its subjective. although the models in your gif have flat shaded texture polygons and limited modeling, i still think its beautiful and has quite a distinct beauty to it that doesn't exist anywhere else. the problem is art is too subjective. theres personality in art, which can also define it subjecting it to being a subjective experience.
