I don't have one like that but when buying a new computer chair about 15 years ago or so I splurged on one of the best ones I could find and have never regretted it. Other than a tear on one of the arms it's still as good as the day I bought it.

I usually play video games on the couch though and rarely for long periods anymore.

I have an office chair like this with an ottoman. Feels great.

When I got married, I arranged our living room "long" and the couch is much father from the TV than the chair so I use the chair more now. I just threw away pic related in favor of >>6166371. I don't know how I feel about it yet.

both chairs belonged to my grandparents, and we ended up getting them after they died. No AC at the time. What made it worse was that a friend of my younger brother's got kicked out of his mom's house and we offered to let him crash until he got a place. He took over one of the chairs and was adamant it was his spot and he stayed with us for 5 months. When he finally left we ended up throwing it out because his stench and body grease was permanently on it.

It's likely the doofuses cut circulation to their legs because they aren't used to activating glutes to distribute the weight properly.

Easier option is to just get any cheap chair with lumbar support and you can try stability ball once your back muscles get used to it.
