Did you beat him?

>> No.6165334

Nah, I was sick off FFVII by disc 4 and didn't feel like doing any sidequests

>> No.6165341

Yeah. Last time I soloed him with Yuffie, was fun.

>> No.6165362

He's pretty easy once you know his gimmick.

>> No.6165374

No. I was too young. But I would sit and watch my older brother play through this game and many others. I was in awe of him. This specific memory really takes me back. Rest in peace Sean. Sounds silly but thanks for the post OP.

Thank you for taking the time to post that. I have been thinking about him a lot lately as his birthday is coming up soon. Most of my memories of him involve video games. I remember watching him play Resident Evil 2. It was horrifying. But he found some cheats or someway he just had a bazooka or something that could kill everything. Made it much less scary. We would play Armored Core and he would let me win. I know he would be so excited to see how far games have come now. And comics. And movies.

After many defeats I pulled it off, didn't even know you could bypass the time limit. I appreciated the challenge but I hate how cryptic this game is with some of its secrets, I probably would have never beat him if I didn't do a bit of research and learn about the air tam storm secret and how to get omnislash. How the hell was I suppose to know that new items would appear at the battle square and that its the only way to get the MC's final limit break?

how do you think the people who wrote gamefaqs shit figured it out?

>> No.6166537

They played the game multiple times already. An average player just going through the game once would miss a lot of good shit.

>> No.6166619

That monster actually really scared me, because when you dive it's roaming the ocean. Could be anywhere when the screen goes back to normal: nowhere to be seen, in the distance, or right in front of you face.
No idea why it makes me panic.

yeah it's terrible that a game would reward playing through it multiple times, replay value is stupid.

The average time is 72 hours and a lot of people played it as their first RPG of any kind of length and there was a lot of shit people didn't know about beating it back then.

4x-Cut on Cloud, Tifa and Yuffie, including several Counter materias. I have never needed the Underwater material. Emerald dies around the 10 minute mark.

Nope, I don't find it fun to grind for dozens of extra hours just so I can say I beat the hard postgame boss. It'd be different if it were a skill-based game, but secret bosses in JRPGs are just a chore because it's such a numbers game.

Games of this era (particularly paint-by-numbers shit like the FF series) were still developed with "secrets" in mind that could be drip-fed out to magazines.

Not everything that's super fucking gay is Reddit, anon.

I mean yes, that comment chain would fit in perfectly on that website, and the original retard would probably have garnered like five of those gold tokens they hand out for exceptional acts of pussitude there, true.
But my point is that by dismissing it as "Reddit" we overlook the specific manner of this faggotry, and lose the opportunity to really shit on the memory of his much beloved too-worthless-to-live brother.

We have our very own homos and always have. Always will. We can't dismiss them as not-here: they're a part of us. And we need to accept that along with the responsibility for making fun of that queermo Sean who probably died a failed tranny based on how much of a bitch his cumrag sibling is.

>> No.6168825

If you think about it, all the discs in every sequel after FF7 must also be part of the same game since it's all the same fantasy. The final one. Singular.

I'd count how many discs that is but I stopped playing this garbage after FF8 took a dull grey shit on my face halfway(?) through.
