What controllers do you miss? Or any periphals?

I miss my panther XL.

And not just in a nostalgic way, but just plain useful/unique. Anyone miss anything like that?

My Sidewinder's lying around here somewhere.
We went through a lot of noobs back in the day.

I miss you, buddy.

Oh, the top left.

Those memories, it came with Motocross Madness, and I played hours with it.

My CRT monitor, either the high end invar-shadowmask or the lower end trinitron, because it still had either a faster response time or lower noise and higher contrast ration and wider viewing angle than any LCD I used.

The Super Advantage.

As an arcade-style joystick, it just felt... right. Beat-em-ups, shmups, and arcade ports worked so nicely on it.

I really want to get another one for cheap, but eh, I don't see much of a reason to at this time.

another arcade stick? do you have one for any platform?

The clear gamepads by Madcatz for Gamecube were superior to the Nintendo-branded pads. I SHIT YOU NOT. The shoulder triggers were much easier to press repeatedly, and make playing Metroid Prime pain-free. Rubber grips and a macro button helped, too. Possibly the only good Madcatz pad ever made. I'd take a picture, but mine is hideous. The rubber on the analog sticks melted somehow, and is now full of crud.

I have that stick, and I don't like it. I have a problem with it. When I tap a button and my finger is off center, the button will go kiddy wampus and stick without registering a press.

I like this stick, the Fighter Stick SN. I also have the Genesis version, the Fighter Stick GG-6.

Thats supposed to be SG-6 for the Genesis Fighter Stick.

This bad boy right here. It was a decent joystick for flight sims, but it made you invulnerable in DOOM deathmatch.

>knob spins to look left/right
>stick controls movement and strafe
>weapon selections on the buttons, trigger is you know it

You could circlestrafe effortlessly with the knob and stick, with an incredible degree of control over angle and speed. It was just unfair how deadly you could become with that thing.

I used to have that controller, but it broke on me. Hori made a Turbo Super Famicom controller that keeps the same form factor as the original controller.

They're not really doing anything bad by releasing controllers that might be bad.

On the other hand, if they're acquiring other properties/companies like assasin3d or saitek, that's a cause for concern, particularly if they end up discontinuing things.

I played motocross madness ... but with the stick in the original post. I worked great, felt particularly natural using the stick for leaning in midair, but the better sensitivity to any gamepad generally helped.

Wavebird's the GOAT controller. Wireless, intelligent button design/layout and ergonomically comfy as fuck.
