It need a minor change to work properly, but it would be that hard to fix it.

N64, Saturn and Dreamcast emulation run like shit for me and anything 6th gen at all. PSX emu is fine, though, so Idk what the hell the problem is for N64 and Saturn at least, they must just be hard to make good emulators for low end systems.

so i played the psp version before trying the translated saturn version. it bothers me that the characters have no mouth animation whenever they talk in the originals.

I am playing it and I got stuck. I am before the fight with Tenkai, in the cave when you have to destroy 3 factories. In random time my game 'freezes': when there is a next turn of someone text box appears (when a characters says something before hes turn) but no text appears and I can't skip it, then nothing happens, the game isn't freezed but I am stuck at the empty text box and I can't do shit. I happens randomly sometimes at the start or sometimes when I am fighting with Tenkai. What should I do? Halp pls.

So, I finally decided to bite the bullet and play some Sakura Wars. I wanna play the most well-developed title in the series first, since I need learn how to make a good mix between a visual novel and an rpg. Should I play So long, my love first if I just wanna get a general idea how they handle narrative, pacing and rpg progression, or check out older titles first? Russian translation is fine too.

There's a script translation out there. I played it using that and to be honest it's not really worth holding your breath over.

Completed it a few days after the release. Very meh game because the tactical missions are way too easy.

But more importantly: who's /vr/ waifu?

I was under the impression that the first two games are connected in terms of characters and story? Or maybe I'm wrong. But if they are, for continuity sake, that's another reason to start with the first game.

These games were ported to the Dreamcast, are the Saturn originals vastly inferior to the ports?

The Dreamcast versions have higher quality FMVs and sound, the game also runs in a higher resolution in general.

That said, only the Saturn Version has an English patch.

I completed it a few days ago and it's given me a real taste for more Saturn Japan only games. Still, might replay the game to get the Kohran ending.

It's grammatically incorrect. Even I, as a non-native speaker understand it.
He/she can be applied to people, and sometimes to pets (usually by their owners they're close to). In other cases it's considered an inanimate object and therefore "it".

It was good though, I enjoyed it, if the turn based combat was a little less shallow I probably would have loved it.
