Let me get this straight. You spent your time at university working out what type of people a conservative message board attracts? This has to be bait? I hope you've grown up at least. I'm in my 40s and have lived in many places across the world. The world is majority conservative, in the West (the majority of pol) conservatives are the most "light" version of conservatism.

It's as though you don't believe some ultra conservative Middle Eastern Islamic place is conservative and somehow would accept feminism, trans rights, equality and so on. Conservatives in the West simply want to "conserve" the equality and rights that the West does have as opposed to changing it to the ultra radical aspects of non-Western conservatism.

That's basically pol at the core, just with a whole heap of edgy memes thrown in from the younger people there. But good luck on ignoring this and bringing pol and conservatism down to simple black and white, them vs us, insecure losers vs winners and dehumanising whole groups. Are some of these older jokes funny? Sure, but they’re amusing to a pretty specific part of a hobby that has more people to reach. We can pine for the days of old, but the change not necessarily a bad thing. No one’s out to get us. The way I see it, I’m taking those ads I can still look back on fondly and trading them for a video game industry that sees my future daughter as just as much of a viable participant.
