I like games about robots. What are some great /vr/ robots and mech games? Especially mech FPS games. I've already got MechWarriors 2, 3, 4, and their expansions.

PS1 is actually the fastest 3D system of its generation, tons of games are ridiculous on it.

Bulk slash is probably the best retro mech game.

Same here. Check out Armored Core. You picked a perfect time to ask this, because I've been playing the AC games a lot lately. Also, not technically /vr/, but another really good game about robots you could play is Metal Arms: Glitch In The System. Came out for PS2 and Gamecube.

Someone managed to port the higher res xbox textures to the dolphin emulator and using the newest beta release you can use a mouse injector and play the game like its a PC release.

Guy I used to talk to was actually working on a patch to fix the game's most glaring issues, like the critical hit system or the instant AI reaction times. Can't wait for him to finish it.

Though I hate how we stopped talking. He just wordlessly removed me out of the blue.

Not FPS but if you're into Strategy games the Front Mission games are a solid choice. If you want something more obscure then CRW on the PC-98 is also good.

Vanguard Bandits was at least interesting. SRPG with branching paths and giant robots in a fantasy setting with an early meme and joke ridden official localization.

Hagane, on the SNES. Hard as fuck but great visuals and pace.
Also Astro Boy: Omega Factor on the GBA. It's Treasure, so you know it's good. But don't tell the jannies I told you...

Gundam W: Endless Duel is a pretty fun mech fighting game. I liked the Two-Mix music back then.
