Yes its very worth it. You actually can't just mash A to go through the game you have to have a plan which is why so many drones say its a bad game.

The game was very charming and I liked the character and monster designs.
I played it till everyone was level 8 and I couldn't be asked to slowly win 100% winrate encounters.
Definitely try it though and use a manual for spells. (CURE does not cure poison, PURE does that)

This is a common misconception. You can easily mash A to beat FF1 (reminder that a part of 4 fighters is basically the objectively best part), it's just it'll take a little longer if you don't plan around enemies dying. That doesn't actually add any strategical depth, it just wastes your time if you don't do some mental math. The difficulty itself is still rock-bottom.

Not OP but I just booted it up right now. First FF I ever played was 4 (2 in the US) and that game was awesome. Final Fantasy on the NES feels so weird. So weird to hear the themes we know today. I couldn't stand to play it and gave up after the first random encounter. Too fucking old.
