Border Down, Parodius Forever With Me, and Thunder Force 3-4 are my all time favorites

Cave is ok, Treasure is the most overrated shmup developer by far imo. Gradius V is excellent but radiant silvergun and black bullet white bullet switcheroo (cant think of the title off the top of my head) never really grabbed me
