What are are some of the greatest retro 3 ~ 8+ player multiplayer games out there?

I personally own a PS1 and a Sega Saturn and I just recently got a Sega saturn multitap for pretty cheap but I don't want to just limit the thread to just PS1 and Sega Saturn games.

Crash Team Racing and Crash Bash. But don't bother trying to 100% Crash Bash, because some of those extra challenges are horseshit. But otherwise, it's a lot of fun with some friends. All minigames, mostly based on pretty good action concepts. None of that turn based board game shit.

Crash Team Racing is the best kart racer ever. Including the microtransaction-filled remake.

Mario Kart multiplayer has always been shit, with every itteration. Only decent thing was the two person versus on the snes. Double Dash was a novelty, and props for trying but that shit was fucking horrendous.
