Tanzer is amazing and I keep going back for runs at it. Finding new ways to break the bosses is great - I was struggling with this one guillotine boss until I found you can just stand behind it and its bullets just pass through you without hurting at all. As fun as it is wow there's some shit hitboxes. And i'm STILL toast by Stage 4. The long range shot upgrade is pretty invaluable in stage 3 for the slug head things, but the fire special is so useful I never get the water one you seem to need to get at some gold/orbs. Any spare cash goes on life if I need it.

No problem, anon. I've made the same mistake, too. There are a lot of protos and the like floating around which appear to be the final product, most of them are unfinished. The Piko intro shows you that it is (supposed to be) finished. Nice that you shared those, anyway, though, as it's better to have those than to not, plus they give players at least a demo experience. All that said, your L'Abbaye file must certainly be the final published product since it is a recent port of the PC original, so thanks much again.

Those two in particular might be (I recall hearing something about Broken Circle a while ago, how its developers released it for free or something, and it did seem perfectly playable to me). Piko has been been known to do straight rereleases like "Legend," anyway, so I was surprised that they do actual game development at all. I was really thinking of something like Corn Buster (proto), which is somewhat trash gameplay-wise anyway but becomes unplayable like 2 minutes in.

Last I read on Sega-16 Super Fighter Team canceled the re-release due to a manufacturing problem and quit the publishing game as a ritual suicide way of making up for it. Unless someone else snags the rights ( supposedly Piko asked but isn't going to ) we're stuck with the current translation. Although I doubt there would have been much difference.

1. Looks like I misidentified it as a GB game than a GBA game. It's most likely the same game you're referring to.

Speaking of which, it appears (though anyone confirming this wouldn't hurt) that Mega Cat publishes "freeware" homebrew for physical releaes (eg, L'Abbaye des morts, Retroid, Powder), as is, without interfering with the original publishers free rom releases. This is different from Piko, who slaps their logos on all their products and takes down versions of games and translation patches that they are currently selling. Thus, we should be able to get all those of MG's pretty easily, so I'll search for and upload as many as I can find of those tomorrow, and then I'll note it for the updated version of the undumped list.

I have some games from an old "shepherd" site that got shut down that are never uploaded anywhere else. They're alternate versions of SNES games with various fixes applied - usually censorship, but the anti-seizure stuff is nice to have, and sometimes they have unique content like Mario's Picross that has three changed puzzles over copyright. Is it worth it uploading them?

The two other homebrew/retro games that haven't been dumped yet at the top of mind, are Super Turrican: Director's Cut (which is still stuck in the Super NT console), and Ultracore (the Mega Sg version, not the Columbus Circle leaked version).

reason for this is that no-intro always rejects those roms over audio and game data separation and... you know how far that got them with satellaview (none of their versions work, and they refuse to offer restorations of completely lost broadcasts)

8bit Music Power is an album. The other two have completely different soundtracks. The original has a basic minigame. Illustration is pretty barebones.
Kira Kira Star Night is a fun little arcade-style platform game. From what I can tell (not comprehensive): the original doesn't have different Level 2 mode music and is slightly less advanced, DX adds an absolutely adorable title screen animation and reuses the original high jump, Tournament Edition uses a static title screen with completely different character design (i.e. worse) and changes the high jump to a double jump where you can change direction, AC is an arcade port of DX that changes the high jump from holding up to pushing the A button, and the prototypes are mostly tech demos (though KKSN 20130105 implements an early high jump mechanic where you have to crouch instead before it was decided to make the stage scroll). Other than that, not sure why such a basic game has so many iterations.

A previously unreleased GB puzzle game, Eddie's Puzzle Time, just got dumped. It was developed by the same devs as Alfred Chicken.

As discussed above, your everdrive would need an update so mapper 4 (mmc3) can support 32KB of ram. Go ask them about new firmware or mapper files.
