Ha. I was reminded by Sonic Generations that Sonic 3's multiplayer was a thing. Kudos to them for what they did in City Escape 1's accompanying track.

Endless Mine= Lava Reef Zone
Chrome Gadget= Death Egg Zone
Balloon Park= Carnival Night Zone
Azure Lake= Angel Island Zone+ Marble garden Zone
Desert Palace=Sandopolis Zone

It always perplexed me why some zones were nothing like Sonic 3 Zones- until Sonic & Knuckles was released and I found out Sonic 3 was basically an unfinished game
