Has anyone had any luck playing Dragon Quest V on a 3DS using TWiLight Menu from the SD card?

Other games work fine but it also crashes to a white screen. Have tried different roms, using the anti-piracy cheats etc. Nothing seems to work.

I'm actually playing this game in Japanese right now. Bear in mind my reading comprehension is pretty bad overall when I say that I can follow the game pretty easily. It was very clearly written for children. I assume the rest of the DQ games are probably like this

There's not much in the ways of exaggerated country speech if that's what you mean — everyone seems to speak more or less in garden-variety "Tokyo dialect." The only thing is that, at least in the beginning, everyone speaks to you like you're a child, because you are one. They'll do things like call you 坊や or いい子 in the context of like, "Be a good boy and mind your dad!" with that kind of condescending but well-meaning tone.

In IV there’s clear regional dialects, but nothing super extreme like in the DS translation.
