It still kicks ass for playing NES and Famicom games. The high score thing was a meme from the get-go. The game genie library is a fun bonus feature, it automatically recognizes which game is inserted and has the codes ready to go. Beyond that it's just a fancy NES, and it does a great job at it. I do wish it had additional color palette options though.

Save yourself some cash, get retron - it's literally same product. It's literally a chip running nintendo emulator and hdmi output. Or just don't waste your money and use your computer for emulation.

Emulate for free for a game that sort of plays like the real thing I can get. If anyone out there is braindead enough to think it's "identical" that just blows my mind.
