Genesis is the better shmup machine. Nintendo had a few good ones but many are ruined by slowdown and mode 7 shitty graphics.

Elemental Master and the Japanese only released Undead Line are 2 underrated shmups for genesis which are really good. Nintendo has nothing similar.

MUSHA if only for the more interesting visuals and higher speed gameplay.

Space Megaforce is too similar to other Compile shooters like Zanac, Power Strike, and especially Blazing Lazers. Not as compelling unless you haven't played the others.

Super aleste feels much closer to gun-nac than anything else. Even the ship is the same. Ironically gun-nac is the better game. Robo aleste just stinks. Such a disappointing sequel.
