I found the difficulty to be pretty brutal at first mostly due to limited ammo, but once you get medkits and have a decent stock of ammo it feels more fair. You can always play on lower difficulties OP

Enemies in Blood have different resistances and weaknesses to certain weapons. Zombies take one flare to kill on Lightly Broiled and two flares on Well Done and the game gives you a fuckton of flares so you should be fine as long as you don't discharge 5 flares into every zombie and cultist. Just rely on the damage over time to kill them, and whilst they are being burned focus on other targets.

Don't play on Well Done on your first run, it is the "Hard" difficulty of an already hard game. Play on Lightly Broiled, thats medium. Well Done cultists have a lower reaction time and the game is expecting you are well versed in dealing with them if playing WD.

Not him, but you do realise that savescumming actually makes gameplay much more tedious than it needs to be, right? It removes the need to learn from mistakes, so you end up just brute-forcing yourself through until luck is on your side, which removes any sense of fun you could have had from the challenge presented.
