Rhythm game with some shmups ish aiming. Would have been better with a 2 player option with a lightgun and a pilot.

Tex Murphy series, Under a Killing Moon and onward.
Stylish futuristic noir with a serious storyline but a humorous tone throughout so it doesn't take itself too seriously either.
Probably the best FMV games around.

The Dame Was Loaded. Its on GOG & Steam.

Its like Tex Murphy but actually set in the 40s and without the "torn up paper" puzzles. There's a day & night cycle and you need to be conservative with how much traveling you do or you'll run out of time. You also need to sleep & eat or you'll crash your car and die.

There really are shit loads of things to do in the game and it's a pity they only ever made the one. Its possible to shoot literally every character in the game just for the narration.

It's actually my favourite point and click adventure game of all time and I can't help but recommend it.
