How much space is PSX rom set? How many months to finish everything? Exclude Jap only untranslated titles.

Play the good games, spend the rest of your time learning actual skills, making friends, having sex, and making more money. Thank me in ten years when your life isn't a fucking regret filled mess.

It's called ISO image on CD based systems, not rom.

I currently have a 80% PAL / 90% US 1% Jap collection and its about 900gb, so I'd reckon about 1.5tb a 2tb for a complete set.

All of them. You're an ESL zoomer. You'll get stumped on "E" Disney games.

>> No.5902015

Not him but the proper wording would be "Disc Images".
ISOs can not store cd audio, so that's why you really only see ISO files when you download old video games that didn't have music stored like that.
just saying ROM also is not correct, its HALF correct so one would look like HALF an ASS saying it.
one either asks "how much would a CD ROM collection be, or how much would a disc image collection be."
inbv4 more hate cuz 2019.

3.722 TB. Just hand pick things from CD based consoles. The file size of full sets end up just being asinine and isn't worth it like having a set for an older console. That being said you can still get most everything you'd ever want for the PS1 in well under a terabyte.

Keep going instead of doing dumb shit like trying to play every game on a system and solidifying that regret forever? Imagine your life now, but without music, skills, sex, friends, family, money,
and instead just faint memories of playing old shovelware games. Even if OP wants to just play games, there are literally enough good games across systems to spend all his time on, wtf would he play trash instead for some random counterproductive goal of 'playing all PS1 games'.

"ISO image is a term commonly associated with CD and DVD burning. An ISO image (or .ISO file) is a computer file that is an exact copy of an existing file system. An ISO can contain the entire contents of a CD-ROM disc or CD medium."
So, this terminology is correct, and its usage acceptable. You can go fuck yourself now, you flaming faggot.

>An ISO can contain the entire contents of a CD-ROM disc or CD medium.

But not CDDA, so if you want to play a game that has its audio stored as such you'll end up with a game without music.
so it doesn't contain "the entire contents of a CD-ROM disc or CD medium".
games like that should be backed up as bin/cue.

Moving big files (anything over 5MB) around the internet ain't cheap. It's probably why Emuparadise stopped offering downloads, they couldn't afford the bandwidth.

But yeah you can use a Tampermonkey script to download from Emuparadise. I use it sometimes for stuff I can't find on archive.org.

The PSX US/EU corpus if 500 GB. It expands to slightly larger when unzipped. A 1 TB drive can hold all Playstation games.

>> No.5906689

>>5906571

I downloaded all the PSX Redump files from archive.org and I filled up a 1tb pretty quickly.
of course these are normal zipped, 7zip would be better but archive.org had them as normal zips.
so no, even if you deleted all the german/french/greek/italian/spanish stuff you'd still have more than 500gb with normal zipped files.

Go through recommendation lists, look for games similar to the ones you like, look through hidden gems lists (there’s good “100 games in 5 minutes” style videos to look for something that catches your attenttion)

Burn and print covers for your final selection. Put then on a nice looking, old school CD folder. Maybe reuse one from your youth and give it new life.

Look through this personal, lovingly handpicked collection of games to try, and have fun.
