I don't understand people who don't find it fun. I think it's a total blast.

It's too hard.

This poster isn't heterosexual at all.

It's got a couple tough spots and janky jumps but overall I don't think it's super hard. Where it is it's fun though and figuring out the different routs makes replaying as you build skill to win lots of fun. I guess everyone likes different things though.

I wouldn't even say that the difficulty itself is the problem. I think it's the crass, unforgiving design that kills the game. A hard game with a fair level of forgiveablility for trial and error is a good time imo

it's fun but your hits odn't do enough damage. come on dude you know that shit is hard af. one life?

>> No.5900169

>>5900148
They don't do a ton with each hit but you can combo the fuck out of stuff. Have you tried the various special attacks like the Shaolin Kick? It's pretty brutal. And making use of sweeps, roundhouses etc? I find the enemies pretty manageable, it's working out a good rout past the bad obstacles where some of the trickiness is.

What part of the level design do you find unforgiving? Interesting levels is one of my favorite things about this game.

I feel like that anon probably just ran in and mashed punches blindly (maybe jumped in occasionally and got stuffed) instead of using a variety of moves and taking advantage of knockdown. It felt really smooth and it had enough variety for the length IMO. I'd love to play a sequel.

>>5900174
Yeah you deffinitely have to use knockdowns and various moves to your advantage to succeed. I consider that a mark of a good game though.

So which custom move should I use? Scissor kick? Shaolin? What does Macho Yell do? Or should I stick to block?

What a silly question. It's Macho Yell every time.

Thats bullshit - it does damage to normal enemies.

The only parts i remember about this game being extra hard (on you) are metal crate breaking on the first and the last jump before the end which you can miss, pillar breaking on the second level, Kung Fung fight a couple of times before you get to know him and the main boss which is not hard but the girl getting lowered in the vat of acid makes it hard.

Might be contender for best game on the sega genesis nexts to probably streets 2. can't really think of too many games even come close to either. sor3 if you roll like that too i guess. what are other S-Class games on the genesis? hard corps is good but its not S-Class by any means. probably A or B.

There were 3. I think 2 is the gold standard, but can't recall.
