He didn't set the clock speed. If he did that it would 1:1 original hardware.

Imagine being so autistic you actually care that the game runs slower in such a way as to be unnoticable unless you are directly comparing side by side to the original board.

YES! This has finally convinced me to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on all of the original arcade cabs for the MAME roms I have, and I will simply delete all of those roms because of this.
Why wouldn't I spend $700,000+ on arcade cabs, plus another $300,000 on a special warehouse to put them? Sane decision.

who gives a shit

Is that a netbook? Unsurprisingly their (your) mame "setup" drifts heinously around but we can all see that although the mister and the real hardware weren't started perfectly in sync, the amount that they're out of sync stays consistent from the moment of full boot all the way until the end of the video which in reality nicely demonstrates how accurate the fpga is.

>> No.5901257

FPGA is the best for an accurate preservation and I'm glad to see Mister's growing development, but there's nothing wrong with MAME.

There's nothing portable about Mister FPGA gaming either. Would not want to drag around a DE-10 Nano anywhere. MAME on a laptop is perfect.

You either have to be a dev or permavirgin to give a shit about this lmao

If I can talk you down off that ledge, you can install additional software that easily eliminates the issues shown in OP's clip.

My point was, that if there is a single emulator out there that actually has 100% legitimacy, it would have to be MAME.
People who use MAME cannot be BTFO.
I never have issues when maming, really. When I play an arcade game, I do so for a cheap thrill for a half hour or so. I mean, that's what arcades are for, a (somewhat)cheap thrill.
