Also that seems pretty horizontal from all the footage I'm seeing. But looks kind fun though, just doesn't seem to fit the Powerslave bill

Huh, the saturn version has colored lighting? Dont remember that from the PS1 version.
Not retro, but the Metroid Prime series.

The PS1 version might have it, but it looks a whole lot duller. The Saturn's visuals are intense and Lobotomy did a good job of wrangling all they could out of that system.

> Powerslave EX
Playing this game with Keyboard + Mouse is the equivalent of playing lightgun games 2 inches from the screen. If you do play EX don't use a mouse, trust me on this, or you're gonna have a pretty boring experience. I would never recommend playing an FPS with a controller except this one, but it's properly balanced for it. Plus EX is based on the PS1 version so the textures and lighting looks really bland and the levels are fucked compared to the Saturn version.

I can't vouch for this game's emulation in particular but SSF or Mednafen both run most Saturn games pretty well.

It runs, but the controls are pre dual analog FPS, and while you can remap them with the emulator, the swimming controls only make sense with the default mappings. Might be best just to wait for Nightdive's version.

They like videogames. They even had own videogame Ed Hunter (long before mobile Legacy of the Beast) and some videoclips had videogame feeling. Song "Futureal" is basically about video games addiction and clip to "Speed of Light" is a homage to arcade video games.

Probably the lawyers being uppity about it rather than the actual band.

He can't because Nightdive bought his ass out and can no longer work on EX ports that aren't under their dime. It's also why he took down most of them like powerslave.

Nope. Just in the backburner. I think I recall him saying he was going to work on Powerslave after he was done with the Blood port, but don't think it was a definitive statement.

Ruins: Return to the Gods
Back then the rights were still in the hands of publisher 3DRealms, but they passed it on to Playmates Interactive.
They (Lobotomy) paused development on the DOS version while working on the console ports of Powerslave, and finished the DOS version last. That's why it looked pretty outdated when it hit the shelves in late 1996 (US) and 1997 (EU).
In that time many games were already shipped with 3Dfx/Glide etc and since the DOS gameplay was simply a doom type shooter unlike the console versions, it quickly faded away.

Is it just a weapons mod or did he try to do some maps as well?
