Anything you've been pleasantly surprised/utterly horrified by lately?

Don't know if it's actually related to the subject but other day the rubber feet for my SNES fell off. I taped it back on but now I'm wondering if there's even any replacement feet for these old systems

I did mean prices, but you're right, I didn't specify. I'll sell you some NOS rubber feet for just $70 each.

In all seriousness, there probably won't be spec feet, but there will be plenty of cheap ones that fit the bill. Personally I just use a dot of super glue when the rubber feet come off any of my stuff.

You should find a suitable replacement in the arts & crafts aisle of Walmart.

15 years ago I told a kid that 40 bucks for bonk's adventure NES was too much money. Recently I looked it up again and was surprised at the offer I turned down in hindsight.

I wanted to hate the PSIO, and bought it so I could continue to trash all the fuckwits on here that got one. I thought they were lying. Turns out I love the thing, and it works great. Sure it isn't perfect, and at times it can be tedious converting some titles to CU2 format, but overall I am quite impressed with it.

Got mine when they were new in EB Games for $20.
One of the only purchases I ever made that turned out to be a good investment.
Still, I use my GBC gameshark much more.

Use rubber cement. It holds much better.
Give a thin layer on the foot, and a thin layer on the case. Then wait for them to dry and when they are dry to the touch stick them together.

I'd like a PSIO for the quieter loading and potentially faster loading. But it costs way too much so I just bought two chinesium laser pickups for my launch Playstations and installed pro micro PSNee modchips.

I see you are a man of culture as well. Good choice.

It certainly is quieter...none of the "Whirrrrr whirrr" sounds that you are used to. FMV sequences go without a single issue. Music never skips. Some games have issues and a few simply don't work. Games like Jackie Chan Stuntmaster probably never will. The developer is working out the bugs on a few of the issues, but overall it is a great way to experience the system. I replaced a dead/dying cd drive with it, and can't complain about that. I tried a few of the chinkshit drives previously, and after getting 3 in the mail dead, and one that half worked, it seemed like a no brainer if I wanted to keep this system working. The cost is high, and installing it required me to learn a bit of soldering. This was the first time I ever soldered anything like this. I don't know if that means it was easy or that I am a quick learner? I have an ego and didn't mind destroying a PSX to find out.

Digital controllers are patrician tier.
