None really, the N64 has several good games but generally the PSX had a library with better graphics, better sound and just more game period. On top of them costing substantially less. Besides a few standout N64 games PSX was generally just better

It's a bit sad, but it does make sense. Especially when you factor in that it's usually children and teenagers engaging in this behavior, because they're super insecure and also very aggressive about announcing those insecurities in these ways.

No, those actually similarly stem from insecurities and dissatisfaction with life. It's actually been pretty well documented that there's an inverse correlation between satisfaction with one's life and the tendency to refer to a sports team in first person. That is, the less satisfied you are with your own life the more likely you are to say things like "We beat Ohio State last weekend." It's also shown that those people are more likely to refer to the team in third person if the outcome is negative. These unhappy and insecure people want to personally attach their ego to all their team's successes but are likely to distance themselves from any failures.

It hasn't been as specifically researched, but I would be willing to bet that those people who get so deeply personally invested in their political party or presidential candidate of choice are experiencing similar neuroses in needing to validate their ego with the success of others.

Feels good being a europoor cause by the time the N64 hit our market more games were released or on the horizon like Lylat Wars (aka Star Fox 64) and Goldeneye 007. Also, Mario Kart 64 was a lot of fun back then. Even some of the latest releases were pretty good like Mario Party 2 and Majora's Mask but that depends on what you wanna play of course.

Not that I'm denying that even in its later years the 64 got a lot less games than the Playstation but then again that was the most popular console by far with so much 3rd party support that didn't get topped till the PS4. I'll always be a N64 fag and I'm glad I got to play it in the 90s but even I gotta admit that I was kinda jealous on playstation owners for games like Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII when that was PS only and Spyro 1.
