I played the NES version, it's a great puzzle game. Is there any other puzzle game where you move a character to accomodate the blocks, like Toad in Wario's Woods?

SNES version just blows the fuck out of the NES version though; the VS COM mode is infinitely superior to the dumb "game B" that the NES version had.

I always cried about bosses not being playable in multiplayer. Other that that addictive game.

I don't play many puzzle games, but some of my favorites aren't as commonly remembered anymore or received any sort of rerelease of any kind unfortunately. Two personal favorites are Wetrix on N64/DC and Devil Dice on the PS1. I have a weird fondness for simple yet addicting puzzle games that don't get enough love, they would end up getting sequels of some kind, but I think only the Devil Dice one fared well, the Wetrix one isn't as charming looking.

SMB2 was my favorite game as a kid so it made me very happy to see Toad in a puzzle game built around the SMB2 lift and carry mechanic.

Solomon's Key, Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle, and Lemmings are my favorites, if we're excluding point-and-click adventures from the discussion.

You can still play a fan made online version of Panel de Pon called "Panel Attack".

Hated warios woods as a kid, thought it was too hard
My wife and I rediscovered it not too long ago (she loves puzzle games but didnt like me stomping her down in tetris attack) and we got super competitive at it. Its a good game. It is way too hard, but a good game regardless.
