I remember enjoying it along with the rest of the GG/SMS Sonic games. Definitely wouldn't place it in the same league as the Genesis titles, but still a pretty fun game

For any GG game that has a SMS version, it's best to just go with the SMS for the increased screen size

I could never beat this because the batteries always ran out when I was about to beat Robotnik.
but I have a lot of nostalgia for Sonic Chaos, I like it better than Sonic 1 and 2 GG
