The first game for sure. 2 is pretty good as well. Third game seems alright but a bit disappointing to me since it isn't the same type of genre no more and for the reboot I couldn't care less for that one.

in usa version the spin kick requires a special move input, does way more damage than anything else, and has a hitbox that takes up like half the screen, so there's barely any point in using anything else. I think they nerfed the damage for your other moves too so you can't just ignore it without making the game way harder.

The remake was fine except it's pretty obvious they ran out of development time. The game doesn't even have an ending, it basically just stops with a half-assed "To be continued" stinger.

Don't know. They're all shit.

It's a great trilogy.
I have to place the Arcade version of Splatterhouse above the rest though... then comes the home version of SH1 and SH2, then SH3 slightly lower since they turned it into a beat-em-up with hokey time sensitivity. Still great tho.
