You realize that age group is still in grade school? The majority of zoomers are still underage for fuck's sake. They haven’t had a chance at doing anything yet. But I’m sure they feel the same exact way about it too. Knowing that they have to be lumped in with Gen X, being the most coddled and pathetic generation of all time. While you fucks were off at Pearl Jam and Dinosaur Jr concerts, you chose to ignore the economic tremors going on that were signs of the impending crash of the housing market. What kind of an imbecile thinks things will get better forever? Mind you, you are the same generation that has produced the likes of Lena Dunham, Zoe Quinn, Anita Sarkeesian, and countless others who have destroyed a once profitable industry, while turning society into a censorship shithole. Your generation has blamed Boomers for everything bad that has led up to you, while pointing the finger at future generations for the bad days we have now. Doing all of this while not coming to terms with the damage you have done, because it's so much easier to blame others for your failures.
It's also easier to relish in the past with video games from your childhood well into your 30's, longing for that time in your life because you've failed miserably at your adult life thus far.
I really hope you manchildren realize how culturally irrelevant you all are. You don't matter anymore, it's fucking over. Those born in the late 90's and 2000's having to grow up in a recession, saturated job market, relentless government spending, and a college degree bubble will all realize who deserves a nice wake up smack towards your middle aged asses, because not even your Boomer parents tolerate you.
Gen X faggots are worthless and they will die in their heap of plastic shells.

I'm 31 years old, I was lucky enough to have a father who taught me how to do things, but this guy is right, a lot of my dad's generation were super abrasive and never taught their kids anything, especially work ethic. I'm 29.

My dad's generation grew up with men who were as cold as stones and read about as well as you'd expect a rock to. They cut their children out and expected the world from them, only to watch them spiral out of control in the 80s and 90s with drugs and alcohol, thankfully just long enough to sire their own children and produce my generation of broken 90s fuckwits.

The cycle is long, long, long.

It feeds a drive without a goal. And it doesn't produce anything. Collecting a game to play it, you get to unwind and enjoy the entertainment for a bit, collecting a game to stick it on a wall just puts one more obscure object in the wall to be forgotten. You can do it if you want, but it's purely ego stroking and doesn't produce.
Lastly, collectors remove options to others for having similar experiences. If you like something, sharing it with others is a great experience; collectors can and do share with others though, so it isn't all black and white, it's a gradient and there's a point where it isn't productive or rewarding.
To each their own of course.
