being the patriotic burger that I am, I thought the best way to celebrate would be to buy some chinese reproduction of a japanese product. Anyone have experience with these? I want the saturn one but saw some things about the dpad breaking in 2 hours on reddit.

I have the Genesis ones and they're way better than the beat to hell original 6 button I had lying around. Build quality is quite good, actual heavy plastic, no creaking, etc.

To be fair, I am looking for something $5 on amazon so I can avoid the shipping cost and test out the new clear USB Saturn controller. I just think it is a bit shady they would increase the base brice so they can claim 25% off instead of 20% off.

That's completely illegal if true, to run a deceitful discount, but there's not much that can be done unless it goes class action.

Anyway, what's a better controller to use with USB and MAME - the Saturn or Genesis pad? Looks like the retrobit USB Genesis adds shoulder buttons so that's not the deciding factor anymore.
