Looking for an original copy of Ocarina of time collectors edition (V 1.0 Gold cart) for n64. Preferably boxed and in good condition.
Any suggestions for stores/sites or anyone willing to sell one?

Just eyeball ebay for auctions with good pics of the back of the cart so you can check the imprint. You'll always pay less for stuff the less other people especially the seller know about it.

The problem is the gold carts aren't really that rare because everybody is always trying to sell one. The original 1st run grey carts aren't seen much.

v1 and v1.1 are the same. They aren't rare in the least. If anything 1.2 is rare.
The symbols are on all N64 versions. They were removed with the remakes on GC and 3DS.

Far as I know the content is the same in 1 and 1.1. Think the speed running guys may be able to do glitches in or the other but I don't really follow that.
