I was digging through my old stuff at my parents house and found a CD I had burned filled with ROMs and emulators back in high school in 2003. There's a couple of N64 ROMs on there, which I guess I must have saved for when emus got better, since N64 games were basically unplayable on emulators in 2003. I'm guessing emulator technology has probably gotten better in the last 16 years, so what are the best currently available emulators for the NES, SNES, Sega Genesis and Nintendo 64?

It's gay you didin't use google.
Look up Retroarch

Just play with the real hardware or kill yourself, cringelord. Guess what faggot? We spent a lot of money on real collections to play with low latency and high precision. You're not going to appreciate the games the way we do unless you invest your money also, little zoomer.

Not really.

Up until 5th gen the way emulation went was last gen's consoles would be decently emulated on a good PC, or if you had a shitty PC you could maybe go back two gens. If you had told me back in 2006 that in 2019 N64 emulation would still be almost as bad, that Saturn still wouldn't be emulated properly, that the PSP would still be arguably the best handheld emulation device (New 3DS finally edging it now), that the Wii was still the best home console emulator, I'd have said you had flipped your lid.

I always assume posts like these are bait, but they are so close to reality that it is hard to differ.

All but the N64 emulators has great accuracy and should serve you well enough. Kind of surprising to see that the console with so many iconic games is still so far behind it's successors. Also, just go on the emulation wiki next time.

Not really since n64 was only popular in North America, and pretty much most emulators are made by fucking russians
