If the nes or snes hadn't died by 1998 would either system have the graphics capability to run pokemon red/blue

>> No.5685162

Yes, pretty sure NES was more powerful than the Game Boy.

>> No.5685164

Are you asking if the S/NES were powerful enough to run Red/Blue?

Do you know what a Super Game Boy is?

>> No.5685204

>>5685158
Dumb anon.
The SNES would have been able to run Pokémon Gold/Silver with ease.

Jesus Christ

>> No.5685374

That's an incredibly stupid question. The Game Boy is an 8-bit portable console from 1989. The SNES is a 16-bit home console from 1991. Why would you ever think the SNES couldn't run Pokemon? Are you high?

>>5685162
The Game Boy outperforms the Famicom/NES in almost every aspect, but the tradeoff is it's black and white and the resolution is a lot lower.

The dedicated Super Gameboy palette is the real way to play Pokemon, other than an OG DMG.

I play through Pokemon Stadium because the sound sucks on the super gameboy

>> No.5685949

>>5685887
The sound is even worse on Pokemon Stadium. With the SGB the pitch is just slightly higher than normal, but Pokemon Stadium's noise channel has a totally different timbre than the Game Boy's and it makes the percussion sound wrong.

>> No.5686007

>>5685949
I don't know, sounds fine to me.

I guess the pitch being higher is just more annoying.

Suepr Famicom was discontinued in Japan around 2003 iirc.
Satellaview service was around until 2001.
