Is it still the best Metroidvania game, /vr/?

Also, what do we think of Bloodstained?

It never was, because Super Metroid exists.

Not retro

I prefer straight metroid or straight vania, metroidvania is a garbage genre

Not even the best in the franchise, mate. Aria shits on it.

Personally I prefer Aria of Sorrow but SotN is excellent as well. For me I think my main problem with SotN is how Alucard feels really restricted movement wise until later when you have a lot of the relics unlocked, he just feels sort of stiff.

Have you ever played any other Castlevania games? Not trying to be funny, but literally any other game feels worse than symphony, just a matter of how much.

Simon in CV4 controls way better. A game from fucking 6 years earlier than SotN.
