As much work as you want to do on a game like this, none of it really deserves any compensation from the company that actually developed the fucking game. They didn't hire you. They didn't order you to do it, so damn right they're going to take it for free and you better not bitch about doing something they would forbid you from doing if they could. See, in translation tranny land, these people don't actually release these programs they make. It's like when byuu lost that test ROM that blargg made a few years ago. He never reposted the test ROM for anyone else, and neither did blargg, so they scrambled around, whining how cit could be so, because the secret to the emulator's success always lies in those test ROMs that only the faggots themselves have access to.

This is actually a problem with some of the SNES translations (Seiken 3, Tales of Phantasia). Back then, more than one person worked in the game, and their assembly was admittedly a bunch of hacks that worked for some reason. It wasn't that prominent if you were playing on an emulator, but Tales of Phantasia even had a "Now Loading..." message if you scrolled through the menus too fast.

Really, a lot of those old translations are buggy or lacked real testing because they could only test on emulators. Two more examples:
- AGTP's Assault Suits Valken translation has a bug where, if you Continue after a death, the title of the stage will be scrambled.
- The Highschool Kimengumi (Sega Master System) translation works flawlessly on an emulator, but on the real console, the title screen shows garbage instead of blue squares (the background is blue in the title screen, IIRC).
