Saturn is my subjective favorite because it has the most "pick up and play" games of the lot and as far as replayability is concerned that's the single greatest asset a game can have. Plus a good number of PSX/DOS multiplats.

I love the Saturn but if I think deeply, many of my favorite Saturn games are arcade ports, which is fine, but if I have to choose a console, exclusives are important. And it's not that Saturn doesn't have great exclusives (Zwei being one of my absolute favorites), but the other 2 also have good exclusives. I still love the Saturn's pad and aesthetic the most, though.
It boils down to N64 and PS1 for catalogue, and yeah I know, PS1 seems like the obvious choice but I'll go with the 64. To this day I keep going back to play it, in original hard, because many of its best games still play the best using a real N64 controller.
PS1 has a great library, but I'm not a big RPG guy, and when it comes to 5th gen 3D experiences, the N64 does it better. If I want 2D, there's Saturn. PS1 is like a jack of all trades, but if I had to choose, I'd rather have any of the other 2.
So, N64, because of its exclusives, the fact its emulation is not great, and that playing its games with any other controller isn't as good.
Also because my favorite 5th gen game is on N64.

Here in Brazil the playstation was looked down upon for being a poor people console, since it was cheaper hardware and had cheap/easy to get pirated games.

I value aesthetics highly, but RR4 is hugely overrated. The 3rd person camera is one of the worst I've ever seen--right up the ass of the car; the way the cars look, rocking back and forth, as they corner is horrible, and they feel boring to drive--ultimately the game as a whole feels boring.

But Ridge Racer 1 on PS1 is excellent. Fun to play, high energy, and looks great in RGB on a CRT.

PSX: has shitty 2D capabilities, shitty 3D capabilities, not enough memory for either, the controller design is shit, overall build quality = ultra cheap, has like 10 - 15 decent games, nothing truly outstanding. They had a great marketing run. So in return the console is a pleb magnet for the double digit club. Sony should have called it the plebstation from the get go.

Saturn: has very solid 2D capabilities, shitty 3D, the controller is the greatest joypad of all time, the build quality and design of the console is very satisfying, has superior ports
of some of the greatest arcade games of all time. The Saturn is the hardcore gamers choice. SEGA has successfully proven that you cannot make a living on hardcore gamers alone.

n64/ultra64: Greatly over promised, as in two x 64Bit cpu system for 99$, and ultimately under delivered. This was the biggest joke of the nineties and single handedly put nintendos 90's reign to an end. Shitty 3D, 2D nowhere to be seen, and an abysmal controller make this one a total disappointment.

Bottom line: Saturn > PSX > n64

PSX somehow stuck with westerners, mainly due to magazines still using "PSX" to refer to the playstation for many years, it's as if The N64 kept being referred to as "Ultra 64" or NU64 after 1996 (I actually think some magazines kept calling it Ultra afterwards)

As a 20 year old back in 1996 I'd say PS1 was best for its audio and huge amount of games and genres, N64 had the best multiplayer/party games for 2-4 people but only kids games and Saturn had great graphics at 60fps, some of the best games for that time, it was expensive however and never caught up with the masses, very few titles translated from Japan killed it too.
