Sin and Punishment N64.

Easiest to mod your console for too. Just remove the dust cover.

ace combat 3 was released in the usa (and in europe)

It's not the same game. International version is missing content, in addition to missing the entire storyline. JP has cutscenes, a detailed branching storyline, and more missions.

There's a translation patch for AC3JP, would recommend the game to any Ace Combat fan. The planes handle a bit heavier than most AC games, but the game is great. Also, no score attack, missions are all objective based, for good or ill.

Eh, you can play any game that exists, just follow a guide and it should be fine. Anything that hasn't been translated into English yet probably doesn't have a good story anyway, so it wouldn't matter...but plenty of random action games out there that literally don't need a translation.

Black/Matrix is fucking rad as fuck.
I prefer the Dreamcast version though, since it has voice acting and better music quality.

>Anything that hasn't been translated into English yet probably doesn't have a good story anyway,
that's a bold assumption. they could also just be super obscure or just rotting away on some translator's backlog.

obscure stuff is obscure for a reason, innit?

Not really. Sometimes the localising companies just deem the game "not worth the effort" because of cultural differences like religion or simply because of ecchi elements. Hell, Black/Matrix is on par with Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre quality-wise but since it deals with heavy religious themes and whatnot it never got officially released outside of Japan.

I thought both Chocobo Dungeons got english versions? Or maybe those were fan-translated? I was playing english CD2 for a while, months ago. I created a thread for it and no one cared.

Checked it. It's a USA ISO .

Geppy-X is a pretty cool STG. The main draw are the references to old mecha shows. The game is 4 CDs, but it's actually only 8 stages long. You can finish it in under 2 hours. It's 4 CDs because there's a ton of videos. You make some choices during the game, and they made videos for those alternatives too.

Black Matrix is pretty good.

Chocobo's Dungeon is your basic Shiren the Wanderer rogue-like. The second game was released on the US - it's better than the first.

Enigma is a weird mix between tank controls (think Resident Evil) and martial arts. You can play as three characters. The fighting system isn't that refined, but the game is interesting. The first hour is rather boring, though.

No, EOP, it has nothing to do with /pol/ and everything to do with your incompetence.

Just FYI, there's a big choice at the end of Disc 1. I think it's stage 4? Either way, you're fighting a giant ship with a dragon head on top of it, near a volcano. The choice you make is based on who you're transformed into when the boss dies. Whoever it was, that character will die and another pilot will take his place. The other 4 stages (three CDs) are all based on that choice. So, to see every video, you have to play the game at least 3 times.

There's also some extra videos if you defeat certain bosses with a certain form.

That actually kinda sounds interesting. I'll definetly replay the game 3 times if I enjoy it then.
