What old school games are you currently playing? How's your progress?

>A Link to the Past
Just completed the Desert Palace. First time ever playing this, actually.

>Jackie Chan: Stuntmaster
Just finished it this morning. Last boss was the only somewhat difficult part of the game.

Genghis Khan II: Playing as France is suffering until you raise good sons and a badass army some thirty years from the start. Jesus fuck.

I want to play Suikoden I again, dammit, but can't into PSX emulation, mainly because I can't find decent ISOs no matter how hard I look. Oh well.

>Castlevania

You don't need hearts for the Dracula fight other the ones on the ones provided in the candles. Whip the last candle and get the holy water, then beat his first form with your whip (jump over the three fireballs and whip-smack his face). Then, on his second form, use the holy water to stun lock him on the ground and whip his face. When it wears off, avoid his jump/fireballs. It isn't all that difficult, and you'll have plenty of hearts.

>Castlevania 3

You can beat the doppelganger by jumping up to the two platforms on either side and camping. Whip him when he tries to approach/jumps toward you, and when he jumps (and looks like he'll make it), change characters. He'll drop like a rock to the ground to change, missing his jump. Change back, book it to the other side, and repeat.

Then again I'm kind of biased against the Genesis sound processor vs the SNES. I don't want to start that arguement again, but let's just say there's very few pieces of music on Genesis games I actually like, most of them are kind of revolting to me. Trying to figure out how to get into the 6th crystal dungeon where the desert/swamp is. There's a tile with a lightning bolt so I suspect there's a lightning spell somewhere in the game I need, similar to the fire and quake spells.

One thing I tried was going to the light world, moving those statues that get you into the light world desert dungeon, then going back to the dark world and seeing if it changed anything, but no dice.

Lunar: The Silver Star for Sega CD via Kega Fusion 3.64.

Just traded the Water Staff to the Old Hag for the Sea Chart and then re-lit the Lighthouse so I can leave Saith for Meribia. Loving it so far.

Bingo. Did you go to the obelisk to the west of the Tower of Hera yet?

Ah I'll check that out. I was stubbornly holding off my return to death mountain until I was ready for the 7th dungeon.

Again. I have a state saved on Tree Tops because of that one fucking jump to the platform above the exit. I tried about 8 times today and 3 times yesterday. I'm intending to play 2 and 3 afterwards, but that probably won't happen.

About to start it. Played about 20 minutes ages ago and never came back to it until now.

I still don't get how the above is acceptable, and the below isn't...

Anyhow, in related on topic news. I recently got into Banjo Kazooie. I've never played it before until a few weeks ago, and I haven't done much, but I can see why it's loved, it's a really nice 3d platformer, and it's really fun to play.
