Crazy Taxi lost the soundtrack in the ports one could otherwise consider 'superior', and therefore are garbage. Maken X is better on DC, and is not an arcade port. Star Wars Episode I Racer is best on DC, for that matter and is absolutely fantastic.

The HD remake is awful and destroyed the lighting. I didn't play the non HD versions of X because they came out not even a year after I played CV to begin with, but from what I understand they're the exact same game as the original with a couple edited cutscenes to give Wesker a few more minutes of screentime.

Yes, and no.

The PS2 version is the port I'm most familliar with, so speaking of that specifically; there are a couple instances of loading screens that weren't present in the original version, the frame rate looks choppy as fuck in comparison, it has more fog and worse lighting (only slightly so) and yeah Wesker has more screen time.

All in all, aside from the new scenes, the DC version is actually better optimised. But you ptobably wouldn't notice, unless you played both versions a ton (like me) or did a literal side by side comparison.

As far as Grandia goes, I'm pretty sure the steam PC version is based off the PS2 which means it's locked at 30fps instead of the 60 on DC

Shenmue 1 is still inferior in HD, doesnt look as good, some glitchies and some brands are missing from the game.
Same goes to Soulcalibur 1 that never got a port of a complete DC version
