I've never given the Gameboy and Gameboy Color any consideration. What are the essential titles? Is there a chart with a list of must-plays for these two? What are your favorites?

Metal Gear Ghost Babel is shockingly good. Potentially unironically one of the best Metal Gear games there's been.

Final Fantasy Legend 1 and 2 are good in you're into RPGs

Legend of the River King is super good if you're into a very chill relaxing kind of RPG and or fishing.

Tetris is a classic and the original is one of the best versions since new ones have block holding and other modern features.

Similarly if you like puzzle games Pokemon Puzzle League is a great version of Panel de Pon, one of the best puzzlers.

Which brings up there's also Pokemon. Gen 1 is kind of rough and broken (though still fun) but Gold/Silver/Crystal is to this day still fantastic.

Tomb Raider GBC is weird but fun. TR was already practically Prince of Persia made in 3D so this is like TR boiled back down to a PoP clone butvis good fun.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a host but those pop up off the top of my head.
