Some of the spyro 2 homeworlds did it for me, but the first time I can ever remember being comfy came when I first got to Dali in FFIX. To this day it still remains my favorite place in video games, the music, the people, the story, it's all so simple yet amazing.

Dad's wife's son had a mech game on it but I never got to play with it because it was important for wife's ebay beanie baby trading. They ate fast food happy meals for a whole week just to get the minis included with them.

Comfiest game ever made

I would start the game to go directly to the manor jumping around, getting lost in the maze, swimming in the pool and that. Literally hours in there when I was younger; even my dad would tell me to get to the other stages.
I never went into the basement, nor finished the track course. Lately, I decided to pick it back because I didn't go farther than the first Venice stage and couldn't play it again.
I've been having a blast with it. Thanks, Poleanon for the uploads. You really are a great person, wherever you are.

The beginning of the Buttbuttin's Creed 2 is pretty comfy. They messed up the color grading in the remaster.

I spent an unbelievable amount of time in this game just hanging around. I really liked the Haunted Grove and hung around there a lot, sometimes seeing how close I could get to Flute Boy before he'd disappear, or just chilling in the back listening to him play music. I also spent a lot of time in the woods near my house as a kid/teen, so maybe that was part of the appeal. I even remember finding old gravestones half buried under overgrowth one time in the woods and feeling like I'd uncovered a secret like in Link to the Past. Anyways, I was really disappointed and bummed when, later on in the game, Flute Boy disappears (a point I didn't reach until after playing the game for well over two years, because I spent that much time dicking around in it), which is probably why the ending of A Link to the Past is my favorite Zelda ending: Flute Boy returns (as well as all the other good stuff you wind up doing by restoring Hyrule).
