A flight simulator has to have pitch, yaw and roll. It has to have an altimeter and and attitude indicator. It has to have landing and take off. It can't have enemies. It can't have arcade elements such as score and lives. I'm sorry anon, but Space Harrier is no flight sim.

Well Ace Combat is a blended genre game. It's not a pure flight sim, but it has a number of elements that brings it a lot closer to the genre than games like After Burner or Star Fox.
