It has splitscreen. That stuff is for splitting across two monitors. You'll need to edit a textfile for it to work fullscreen with two. Single monitor just works without you doing anything. Try going somewhere with the gf instead of wasting her time.

Strongly recommend Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa

It's very similar to Sunset Riders in Spirit and gameplay, but instead of being humans, the characters are cows and bulls.

It's also much easier than Sunset Riders

Mystic Warriors is like a better Sunset Riders. My girlfriend loved playing Espgaluda with me but that's a bullet hell. Pocky & Rocky and Shock Troopers are pretty good choices too

You never know, my gf thought she didn't like bullet hell either but Espgaluda's style got her attention and she ended up loving it, and there's always extra credits.

Super pang is the best bro, it's super fun. Also you can try the bust-a-move for 1 vs 1 or maybe playing puzzle mode on the 4th game playing one at a time etc

I used to get picked on all the time by a kid about two years older than me, especially at the arcade. One time he joined a game of Simpsons I was playing as Homer and he picked Bart. He kept insisting that he was "selecting" the levels because those are Bart's hands on the TV. I knew it was bullshit and didn't say anything. Then, another kid joined as Lisa, and without even saying anything we kept doing the team-up attacks, which pissed off him off. He demanded we teach him how to do it and accused us of cheating. I don't know if The Simpsons is a good game or not, but I love it.
