How come Nintendo doesn't re-release the shit out of this sytem's games like they do with the rest of their machines? Are they THAT embarrased of it?

3DS versions would have seem like a no-brainer

They've referenced the VB a number of times though, there was some VB-related mini games on the Wario Ware games. Reggie himself did some spot playing a VB.
I think they're not embarrassed, but rather think not a lot of people would be interested, which might be true. The meme about VB being, like, soooo bad, man, still prevails and while there's a small number of hardcore enthusiasts like the vbplanet guys, and some Wario fans knowing that VB WL is totally ludokino, majority of people would still ignore or avoid anything VB-related.
But never say never, they finally ported the DK Arcade to the Switch, after never receiving a proper port except for DK64, and that was Rare.

There's nothing they can put it on. I can only imagine the shitheads crying about not being able to by SMB for $5 again for the 7th time would shit themselves if the 8 N64 games worth Nintendo's time to rerelease got delayed to put out VB games on the online service thing,

I really was expecting this to happen at some point, but it surprisingly never did.

The majority of normies aren't going to touch this console due to its bullshit red color palette thing.

There miiight be a chance they throw a few VB games into that Labo VR thing on Switch.

Probably not worth the effort for them to develop an official emulator etc to rerelease the 2 games that exist and all those dozens of people will fondly remember and purchase again to play on their 3ds

3ds can't emulate VB. Switch might have the horsepower.

Nintendo doesn't like to acknowledge it. There's a city in the new Smash game's World of Light that features buildings stylized after old consoles but the VB is nowhere to be found.

It's not really about emulation at all though, it's simply a matter of porting the games so they can take advantage of the 3DS' 3D like they did with their 3D Classics. Hell, forget VB 3D Classics, I'm still surprised at how little Nintendo actually did with that idea when they had s shit ton of SNES and GBA games that would have sold well with the gimmick yet they never lifted a finger.

The 3DS was out for 8 fucking years. It's pretty much the only device on the market (besides VR) that's able to display a 3D effect out of the box. It was a perfect match, but they didn't even try. Why not?

Nintendo's like Disney in that they care deeply about brand integrity. They may worry that reminding people of past failures will cause them to have negative associations with Nintendo.
