Just a shitposter. Dreampi is an excellent way to get internet play back to your dreamcast. The scene has a good number of players on it. Probably still peaks over a hundred across all games for some nights. I've definitely played old PC games with a handful of worldwide players, so having 3 digit player numbers pretty great for an old console like the dreamcast.

You mostly playing JSR online OP? Alien Force Online looks pretty fun. It's a tank game where you have modes like team deathmatch.

Only an emulator box, and only then because it's terribly underpowered for what people try to do with it.

DreamPi is pretty legit. I have mine set up, but I really need to get a case for it. Also, I just use a 9v DC power supply instead of a battery. I'll eventually open up my modem and use a 5v to 9v step up to get it all in one unit without an extra power supply.

i'm thinking of getting a dreamcast but what model is the best and what video output? I'm looking at an hkt 3020 model 1 and vga, but I read the dreamcasts vga output is wonky and some games don't support it. The only other option I can think of is s-video with a retrotink but good s-video cables are hard to come by.

no, kof 98 and 99 don't support it. Also, a lot of dc games support 240p which could help fix the scaling issues in the 2d fighters.

According to pic related the vga output is fucked up and needs an ossc to fix. Maybe it looks okay on a crt monitor but I'm not using one.
